Life.
What a complex, amazing word.
Life can be defined as the act of living, which is also exponentially complicated.
What is life?
To me, life is a constant series of events – both good and bad. Regardless of which they are, they still come. Be it birthdays, graduations, promotions, moving, marriage, pregnancy, death, or disease, they come.
I was about six months old when it was determined that I had Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1. It was not an anticipated event, but nevertheless one that was preordained by the God I have come to love in this life. Feelings were not spared: “take her home and love her. She won’t live to be two.” That was a not-so-good event. That was the worst event. Throughout the course of twenty-six years there have been a multitude of good events, and unfortunately some bad ones too. The bad ones make the good ones sweeter.
Life is a journey, and it’s what you make it. You only get one shot at this, so make it count. I want mine to count for the Kingdom of Heaven. So this is my life. Welcome!
You are an amazing woman. You turn tragedy into triumph. You are so courageous. God has used you in a special way and you have joy serving the King.
